I personally think Microsoft would be mankig a big mistake copying the Wii U controller. Because right now many of the XBox 360 s fanbase are old-school gamers that prefer a classic controller. If I had a dollar for every time I saw an Xbox fanboy trashing the Wii’s kiddie’ controls then I would be a very rich man. (I like the Wii, just for the record). I think Xbox would lose a lot of its adult players to Sony if they pulled a move like that.

This sounds prttey far fetched to me. Why would Nintendo release a new iteration so soon after the original? Not to mention that the 3DS’s success hasn’t been truly tested yet because the game library is very minimalistic right now. Also, until this 3D can damage your retina is actually proven, I don’t see a cause for alarm.
